There are lots of ways to create applications, web browsers have given a new vertical in development to speed up the process.

The top server-side languages out there today: PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, .Net and countless others have a wide variety of web frameworks. For the past two years I have been making the transition from PHP development to Go language, the server-side programming language by Google.
